I love hunting.

It’s just May and I’m ready to hit the road.

The anticipation of getting back in the woods and mountains to film and hunt whitetail deer and elk is a huge part of my love for hunting.

The preparation is half the fun.

Planning and scouting is what fuels the fire.

We tediously go over gear to ensure we have the best we can afford.

We sling arrows daily if not weekly to practice our form, effective range and groupings.

We talk to other die-hard hunters daily on Twitter, Facebook, blogs and forums because we found people who are just as passionate as we are.

The silence of the woods is soothing, therapeutic even.

Watching and getting close to a deer or elk is heart pounding.

It’s not a hobby.

It’s not a seasonal sport.

It’s a lifestyle.

I’m ready.
