This picture was taken yesterday afternoon.
The below picture is from this morning. Fire has grown to over 8,000 acres and is 0% contained.
Saying a prayer to all effected. According to a local Sheriff, this is the kind of fire we have been fearing. Dry, high temps and high winds along with miles of beetle killed trees combine for a perfect storm.

A big welcome to Matt Addington, our new Huntography Managing Editor for the State of Minnesota.
As a professional photographer, he takes amazing photos and really has an eye on capturing the moment. Together with his passion for photography and hunting big Minnesota whitetails, Matt is just a natural huntographer.
I first started talking to Matt on Twitter way back in 2010 and loved following his hunting tweets during the deer hunting season.
In his own words:
I’m a fresh air breathing, big buck chasing, Jesus loving, father of three under five, husband to a hot wife, full time photographer, part time elementary art teacher, Mac geek, pseudo farmer, adventure seeker who lives on 270 amazing acres overlooking the Little Cannon River tucked into Sogn Valley.
I’m looking forward to seeing some great hyperlocal outdoor stories come out of Minnesota. Thanks for being on board with us all Matt!
