Happy Friday all! I’m pleased to announce Michael Sargent as our Huntography New York Managing Editor.
If you’ve been following him on Twitter over the last year or so, you know how talented he is with the camera. As a photographer and passionate outdoorsmen, he has is a natural Huntographer.
Hailing from Western New York, he will be sharing a hyperlocal outdoor perspective on what’s happening in New York.
Originally being from New York myself, I can’t wait for Michael to share some great pictures and stories from a place I hold dearly.

After travelling almost 5,000 miles, across 12 states all within 28 days straight of non-stop hunting and cross country driving, the Huntography Season 2 Whitetail Deer Hunting DeerTour trailer is ready. It was an amazing season of filming and getting social with more of America’s deer hunters. Finally, I had a chance to put together some of their authentic deer hunting and social media stories.
Last seasons whitetail deer hunting documentary is truly special. Each of the people on the deertour are folks I met via social media be it Twitter, Facebook or via blogging. We took our online relationships that were forged via social media offline and into the woods.
If you’ve been active via Twitter over the last almost 2 years, you’ll recognize many of the 2011 Huntographers in the trailer.

I’m proud of everyone who took a leap of faith and invited me into their hyperlocal deer hunting camps. It was such a privilege to spend time with each of them.
So enjoy the trailer for now as I’m finalizing the final cut of the entire DeerTour film as we speak…..
And by the way, I’m also creating a list for the 2012 DeerTour……very exciting.

Just burned a DVD of the 2011 deertour to see how the trailer looks on the big screen. Not too shabby.
I had a small first screening – my wife and kids 
They seemed to like it.
