While Coyote Hunting in Poudre Canyon in Fort Collins I Saw 14 Whitetail Deer

While Coyote Hunting in Poudre Canyon in Fort Collins I Saw 14 Whitetail Deer coyote hunting

I went coyote hunting up the Poudre Canyon in Fort Collins today. It was a DIY solo excursion to some public land. It kind of felt weird to be hunting myself as I’ve been filming others this past season. Nevertheless, it felt really good to be out there.

I didn’t see anything while up in the canyon but as I got down, I saw 14 whitetail deer. Huh? Whitetail deer in Poudre Canyon? I didn’t know they were up in this part of Northern Colorado. This is Muley country, isn’t it? They didn’t look like hybrids either. We do have whitetails in Eastern Colorado, pretty big ones at that. But in Fort Collins?

Here’s a short Live streamed video of today’s hunt via my iPhone 4:

A very scenic and serene place to hunt coyotes. One day, I’ll get back up that mountain and get a dog.

Although I’m in Socal on a business trip, my gear is ready to hit the big country of Colorado for some amazing coyote hunting. Hopefully, I’ll be able to make it happen in the next couple of weeks.

Crazy Video – Whitetail Deer Stuck in Hammock

Ok, this is something you don’t really see everydaya whitetail buck stuck in a backyard hammock. I saw this on the Cabela’s Facebook fan page and just had an urge to help share this cool video.

Thanks to Tarin Balchitis for sharing her uncles videos.
