What I’m reading on the plane: Field & Stream Last Chance Deer #deerhunting

Get out of your deer hunting stand or ground blind and into the bucks.

We did a mix of treestand and on the ground hunting in Waxhaw, North Carolina. Even still hunted a bit in the rain. Seems the warm weather and wind kept them hunkered down. Nevertheless, it was a blast, pun intended.

Great company. Storytelling. Yummy food. And just sitting in the woods. Thankful for the opportunity.

Some people are too focussed on the result of their deer hunting experience – e.g. the size off the deer, score of the rack or number of deer shot. For me, it’s all of the other things that matter more – friendships, new experiences, camaraderie and just plain ol having a good time. Getting a deer or monster buck for that matter is just the icing on the cake.

Enjoy the journey. Treasure the experience. Tell stories. Replay the memories in your head forever.

Happy hunting all!
